Haha, I doubt it. Looking pretty nice. Much better than the last images they released.
Tried to add this URL for the image, but didn't work.

Looking very good, that Mayan environment looks sick.. Maybe I'll actually buy a Ridge Racer game, still waiting to see if they'll have damage in this game.
I predict one M rated title for every 50 (or more) Mario, Pokemon, and Brain Age spinoff. You can probably count the M rated titles on the Gamecube on one hand, it'll be the same on the Wii, especially with them trying to get mass market appeal.
Resistance: Fall of Man is using over 300 mb for each level, times 40 levels = 12 GB right there. Then you've got the character assets, AI, the info that is being streamed during the levels, you've got the multiplayer modes, co-op modes, Dolby 5.1 (or is it the new HD tracks) audio tracks for multiple languages, HD cinematics, etc. You also have the fact that this game will be in native 1080p, not 720p upscaled to 1080p (which any 1080p tv does anyway) or 680p (for PGR3), upscaled to 720p t...
Ever heard of armor piercing rounds?
People said the same thing when Sony introduced the DVD drive to gaming with the PS2. The point is that Devs will use however much space or hardware you give them. They will find a way to make it work on the format that they're using. Yes, the devs may be able to fit all of the Xbox 360 game on there, but you don't know how much stuff they wanted to do but couldn't because of space. You end up with repetitive textures, dialog, etc. If MS and Sony had put in 2 gigs of Ram in their console...
Wow, looking great, can't wait to see some direct feed videos in HD.
I might have actually thought about getting a 360 at launch if it had an HD-DVD drive included for gaming.
It's about time Sony pointed out the differences in the Xbox 360 being able to upscale games to 1080p (which any 1080p tv will do anyway), versus the PS3 being able to output a native 1080p resolution. Sony's PR machine should have spun into motion when MS announced this, maybe they're integrating it into Kutaragi's keynote, but it seems like they should be hitting back...
The box looks really sweet. Has a nice modern feel to it, without pandering to the Apple ripoff design like Nintendo did (in my opinion). And it has Sony's "branding" too so that's good. When does the actual conference start and when can we expect to start seeing gameplay footage roll in? Does anyone know?
They'll probably be used for future events or maybe for the PS3 demo pods. Who knows. Nice pictures, can't wait to see the playable footage on actual PS3 hardware in the next few days. Playsyde and this site is going to get slammed.
Playstation has also been around a lot longer than the Xbox franchise, so it will naturally have more sequels. Xbox now has Halo 3 coming, Forza 2 coming, Fable 2 coming, Splinter Cell sequel coming, all the DOA games, etc, etc, etc. Both consoles have sequels and original IP.
I said on another thread, this game looks great. The video was really nice.
Yeah MART, keep your eyes and ears covered while screaming "Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah" forever. It's really entertaining to watch how much your inner fanboy is coming out lately. Just because a game has been out for a few years and is considered by a lot of console FPS fans to be one of the best games out there, doesn't mean that it should lose it's appeal based on it being a few years old. If the Halo series is so good, it should be playable years from now. The article...
It's going to take effort whenever you port anything from one processor architecture to another. If they have experience with multi-core archictures, and if devs have experience with PS2 archicture, it would help them in porting to the PS3 (if it is actually ported). The makers of Unreal Tournament 2007 said how surprised they were at how fast they were able to get the program running on the PS3 with unoptimized code (running at 30-45 fps, can't remember).
Who is this person and where did they get this info? Lair as a launch title is huge news, if true, as well as Pandemic and Monolith working on new PS3 titles.
I doubt it would take a whole year, if it is an actual port... If the rumors are true about it coming to PS3, they may be building the versions at the same time.
To 1.0, not surprising, given your past comments. This cinematic looks nice, especially considering it's pretty obvious that it's all in-engine.
This game looks great regardless of what system it's on. But I think it's probably headed to PS3 as well based on the different listings at Gamespot, PSM, and Spong. I watched the whole 15 minute video that was posted last night. Very interesting and unique as far as the gameplay goes. Very creepy too. I really enjoyed the interactivity between the "big daddy" characters and the little girl (forget what she was called), as well as when you could influence the "big daddy&qu...
I don't think this is true. Sony has been denying this for months and months.
Wow, he actually did say something meaningful, well, a couple of meaningful things.. but no games to speak of.. This is from IGN's blog:
"7:22: A question on why HDMI only is in the high level version of the PS3 only. Kutaragi explained that if they put the HDMI in the lower version, they were worried that some would complain about having something they don't want. However, HDMI penetration has come faster than expected, Kutaragi says. He asks if people want HDMI in all model...
